Have to say JP that my lovely driver just puts the car into D and drives. Doesn't bother with B, doesn't use ACC etc. if you recall our ID.3 was doing 4.4 miles/kWh which you thought was pretty decent for an ID.3. The first owner of our ID.3 averaged just 3.3 miles/kWh during their ownership but we have 4.1 miles/kWh during our use to date. All these toys and gimmicks, eh? 😉

Jonathan, thank you for all the shared content. Does the eNiro still make sense in 2024 as a family car when a Tesla Model 3 SR can be bought for the same price? Trying to decide between the 2 and obviously there are pros and cons for both. One of the main concerns is insurance price for Tesla and reliability of public network on longer journeys for the eNiro

I loved my leaf. Sold it 18 months ago and bought a 19 plate Tesla M3, Then in June bought a 17 plate Tekna for commuting to my workplace (10 miles each way) allowing us to return the PCP Zoe and Dee to continue using the Tesla.

Our “Smart Meter” caught on fire 🔥 when we were away on vacation, lost all our food, luckily the fire 🔥 only damaged the meter and nothing else, I called the utility company and told them we had no power, they said they would check their computer and said everything was fine, I told the person to have a technician come to our home, they did and he confirmed the meter burned. I don’t trust these meters one bit !!!

I've just had an email (and checked reflexorkney website) stating that search fee is now £300+VAT and the sales fee is now a whopping £1500+VAT, rather than the £200/£300 shown here on the video. Any idea why the fee's have gone up so much? This is over £2k before cost of a vehicle so makes it pointless trying to buy a high milage/cheap EV through them.

We need cheaper public rapid chargers, I do an AVG 150-160 miles a day and I don't have a driveway so I can't night time charge so EVs are for everybody yet , I used to have an ion as I used to do only 50-80 miles a day,and that car was brilliant and I spoke to you about it but now no drive means no EV 😞😞 my BMW 320d is using £13 a day so I need cheaper public charging before I can get another EV 😞😞

I've got a question I hope someone can answer. When a Niro is charged to 100 % will the range be influenced by how the car was driven up to that point in time? If it is is there a reset button for a more accurate reading? I test drove a 2023 Niro 4 yesterday with 81% charge and 174 mile range. I thought this a bit low. The reading also said 3.9 miles per kilowatt. This is a low mileage car. I want to see the car at 100% charge before I make a decision. All the youtube videos say the range reading is very accurate. With this being the summer it should be reading at it's highest. It will be interesting to know if there is a reset for a more average factory reading. Thanks for reading this any help will be appreciated.

The PCP on my Leaf E+ is ends in October 2025. I will owe a whopping £16,972 on it. I am going to have to hand it back to the finance company and have nothing towards a new car. When I switched from my last Leaf PCP I had amazingly £7,000 equity in the old car!

I found my Kia E Niro to be fairly accurate and in general I was around 270 on a full charge. I have had some longer trips and been near 300 so it is possible.

The GOM on the ID.3 is much better on the run than when being used on short local trips. I'd trust it more on a 200 mile trip than a 2 mile one.

😂😂😂😂😂 A similar thing happened to us when we caught the inter island ferry to Westray. Luckily I spotted the issue before sailing and was able to nip down and sort it. 😊

I drove the 90 miles to a Norfolk funeral in my 64kWh Kona last week. Heavy but steadily moving traffic, all the way and got 5.6 miles per kWh.

Just changed eNiro for EV6 so we can tow caravan, the eNiro was a brilliant car but the EV6 is like a space ship!!!

Original e-Niro is amazing for range. In non winter months we have a fairly regular journey A roads from Birmingham to Welsh Border to South Wales then dual carriage way/motorway back to Birmingham, 280 miles, with 40 miles range left, we do not charge away from home..

Hi JP. I’ve just recently got a 2020 Niro 3 and I’m curious or should I say paranoid as to the impact of Rapid charging. I’ve been unable to find reliable answers. I hear the Niro is favoured by a lot of Landon taxi drivers but again can’t find any reliable answers. How many has your beauty had and what is the current state of the battery. Mine had 46 charges and SOH 100% according to Carscanner.

Aren't the Tesla Superchargers cheaper CPS at Perth ? I personally wouldn't leave my car there all night unattended but that's just me😅

Really interesting, How old is the car and what is the mileage?

My experience with EV guessometers is that they are more accurate if you don't keep resetting them. They seem to take account of the outside temperature and your usual driving efficiency and give a reasonable accurate reading. When owners keep resetting them and clearing the memory it might make owners feel better if the indicated range is 20 miles greater, but you don't actually get any extra range!

agreed.. in CA USA. consumed power billed at 30-38 cents per KWH. pays 12 -15 per for back feed. connected to grid.. but battery solar DIY system takes me off grid 9 month of year, self consumption for me.! edison turns grid off if hot or windy.?. still 30 bucks a month "meter fee"

Very disappointing. Hopefully it just needs a “control group” valve to reduce the mains pressure to 3 bar, as per current installation manual.

A little off topic but bought a Leaf from your old company two months ago, good service. Want to upgrade to a ENiro and went on their website and thought they’d been hacked. The initial fee trebled £100 to £300, new buyers fee of £1,500 + VAT plus auction fees. Crazy. What’s going on??

Unless I’m in a built up area I always set the regen in my E-Niro to zero so it coasts. It makes it incredibly efficient as you seem to of proved. Great videos.
